I bought it for my 6 year old to sleep above my 2 year old and her toddler bed.
Their bedroom is really small and Measures about 8.5 ft X 9.5ft The room was really cramped (I had my 2 year old in a crib and the 6y.o. In a toddler bed). I bought this product to add more room and I absolutely love it!!
While assembling, I missed a crucial step: do not tighten screws all the way down until completely assembledI had spent almost an hour putting the first three steps together (assembled by myself) and then realized i had to go back and loosen everything up in order to put the next piece together.
This was really frustrating. So dont make my mistake and be sure to look over river instructions very carefully before assembling! I read through too fast and skipped over that part.
I also really appreciate all the small extra pieces that come with it, as I broke a few Y parts during assembly, but still have plenty more in case we ever need them in the future/ along with the other small extra parts that I saved for future use.
I am a little gal/about 410 and the picture below is for size reference comparing me to the height of the bed.
Also, I read other comments and reviews stating the ladder rungs somewhat hurt/ were uncomfortable and this is true— in my opinion when I tried them out— but my 6 y.o. (Who is very sensitive about pain and such) has yet to complain about it and she is the one who uses it every night so it isnt that big of a deal.
I would definitely purchase again!! But it still works great.
