Dented upon arrival, finicky locking mechanism, no assembly instructions.
When the package arrived I noticed there were some significant damages to the outside box. When I opened the box I was impressed by the amount of preventative packaging used to keep the item safe: styrofoam and plastic corner protectors, frames for the front and back ends and the whole unit was wrapped in a soft packing plastic. This however did not prevent it from having a rather significant dent in the top side edge of the cabinet. Once I got it out there were no instructions for assembly or any kind of mention of inventory of what was supposed to come with it, thankfully Im pretty good at figuring out how to assemble things. This would be an issue for people who arent as mechanically minded however. When it comes to the locking mechanism and the drawers theyre a little finicky / if theyre not exactly in the right place they might not pull out when its unlocked or go back in all the way. It also doesnt mention that you need a hanging file frame for the inside of the bottom drawer if you want to have hanging files in there / I had to figure that out myself. I wouldve sent it back for another unit but because of the amount of packaging and everything else it was such a hassle that I didnt have the energy to bother with it.
