I found the instructions easy to follow and it was easy to assemble. Took me about an hour and a half by myself. I wish I had bought a 4 inch mattress instead of the 6 just so more of the arms and back were showing (expected to use more as a couch then a bed). Delivery was horrible as I opted for the inside the door delivery scheduled between 6/9am, as I figured it would be heavy, but if it was inside I could open the box and move peice by piece where it was going to be assembled. Arrived at 6:01 the OPEN box was put on the porch damaged and had to manuever it inside during a thunderstorm. Thankgoodness the ring camera went off (not the doorbell) and I was up and waiting for the delivery. All the parts were there and in tact and nothing was damaged so that was a positive!! Overall I am pleased with the purchase.
