Slowly over time and with multiple guests the best requires constant re tightening so that it keeps its strength. So I bought a new bed today / the new one is steel, by a different manufacturer and hopefully stronger. I am very disappointed in this daybed. If you plan regular usage on the bed pick another bed. If you have a more than 5 guests in a year, pick another bed. If its rarely ever slept in (once or twice a year) than this daybed is perfect; otherwise keep looking. Its sad to spend money on with prime membership and get a product that doesnt last long.
There is only one caveat for this bed in my humble opinion; that is check to ensure your parts are not mislabeled. When it comes to the slats, its pretty important that the rails are installed correctly / for instance on the rail make sure the flat part is on top and the box part is on bottom. I went by the way the parts were labeled and everything put together except for the part Y which secures the slat bars into place when I had to take it apart and reverse the rails because someone at factory mislabeled. Other than that, this went together easily with just me, a 55 year old woman putting it together. Beautiful finish and I cant wait until I put the mattress and bedding on it. Very nice quality and looks nice.
