The triple bunk bed fit perfectly in the same spot where our previous two-mattress bunk bed was, and it looks great. My husband, who is usually very handy, had a hard time assembling it, which is saying something. Unfortunately, the bed creaks a lot and shakes more than I'm comfortable with when I climb up to the top bunk or sit on the bottom bunk. I'm hoping that it's durable and will last, but it doesn't feel as sturdy as our previous Ikea bunk bed. The metal isn't as thick, and the bars on the ladder are thin and cylindrical, which makes it uncomfortable to climb up barefoot. While this bunk bed was very cheap to purchase, it feels cheaply made, and I question whether it can hold up to the advertised weight limit of 400 pounds per bed. Our boys are little, so it's not a major concern for us at the moment, but I'm worried that it may need to be replaced sooner than later. Only time will tell.
