These came with no instructions but its pretty clear how to put them together. They came wayyyy faster than the estimated delivery dates. As others have stated there is a smell to them but it smells like wood varnish which is expected with a finished wood seat and that should fade over the next week or so. Overall, product was exactly as described. Chairs feel sturdy and fit perfectly under our island overhang.
