    Pros and cons

Pros: Not overly expensive, sturdy, relatively comfortable, and swivel action is not too loose or too tight The stools are not so big that they take up too much space at the counter. The style looks good with traditional or more modern home decor. Cons : Right out of the box , the stool has a very strong odor . …hoping that will go away, but seriously; its really smelly ! There are some trucks to assembly; Installing the footrest ring is tricky ( just dont fully tighten the bolts that attach the legs until you get the footrest secured. The center backrest screw must go in before attaching the sides of the backrest. The stool does NOT come with the glides. Just go ahead and order them. Youll need them. The stool has holes already drilled in the leg-bottoms for the padded glides. For only $6 , I dont know why they dont just come with the stool. The wood is distressed . I used a very fine bit of sandpaper to remove the splintery parts on the backrest, then rubbed on a thin coat of furniture polish. A smaller person can sit pretty comfortably on this stool, but my 62 son must sit perched on the front edge of the seat. So, no hanging out for very long at the counter for anyone but a small person. I put one stool together without help, but, when the second one arrives, Ill ask for help. ( the 2 stools ordered at the same time, were scheduled for arrival 3 days apart).
