I ordered three stools and of course they all came at different times.. The first one was very nice. It was well packaged but still had a couple of scrape marks but nothing that a little shoe polish couldn't take care of.. The second package was totally different. It was obvious that it had been a returned item. There was several marks on the wood and the iron ring. All the screws had been removed from the package and had been put in a sandwich bag. I wrote the company and was told that it was a new item which was a total lie. The third stool was new and have no complaints. The chairs are beautiful but honesty would have gotten a five star review..
