Best Purchase Ever - Glad I talked myself into this tent, heres why:
I was not expecting much when I bought this tent. I just needed something quickly for my camping trip the next week. My last tent got torn in a storm the year before. I bought this one because I liked the idea of a front porch that kept the bugs out. I didnt take it out of the box until I got to the campsite. Within the first 24 hours of having it out of the box set up on the campsite a storm hit. I was waiting for the seams to leak, something to tear, water seeping in, anything bad. This tent held up - through 36 hrs of downpour, high winds - did NOT leak, rip, break or have ANY water come into it. The front porch became my best friend for that 36 hrs, as the inside of the tent got boring really quick. I had angled the tent front facing slightly downhill, this ended up being great, as I could sit - in my camp chair - in the front porch and watch the storm, read a book, draw and just listen to the rain, and barely got wet. The front it obviously going to have some rain get into it since its mesh and not sealed, but it wasnt enough to deter me from hanging out there and watching Mother Nature. But it didnt leak into the room of the tent or onto any of my gear.
