This desk is the perfect size for a small home office. When looking for a desk, it seemed like small scale desks were too small, but a big giant desk would overwhelm the small room. This doesnt have a huge footprint, and because of the openness underneath, is not bulky at all, but still plenty of work space. I like the overall look too//the wood/type surface is pretty realistic. I assembled it solo and it didnt take terribly long. I would remind you, as others have, to follow the instructions and dont fully tighten connections until told to. Also, if assembling alone, its helpful to have some books or a shelf so you can prop up one end of the long support bars while attaching it. Before it can stand by itself, its a little awkward. Overall though, simple assembly with clear instructions. It is sturdy and perfect for my needs. One of the side table surfaces doesnt perfectly align with the corner pieceI re/adjusted and re/adjustedso maybe its the desk, and not my construction skillsbut well never know for sure. Its a minor thingjust not perfectly flush a slight gap. All in all, it is much better than I expected and an excellent value.
