Ok so I love this desk.
I love the size! I love the materials and the design. It feels like really good quality but they may have skipped one or two steps.
Ive had a few ive desk I ordered and they never look like they are pictured. But This one was better. Solid materials and not wobbly at all. The instructions are a little odd and some of the steps feel out of order. I bought two of these the first time I did it by the book. Second I did it how I think it should work. Worked way better and faster.
Tip one. Buy some washers to go over the bolts. It needs it! Without washers it will bend the metal when you tighten it. Washers distribute the pressure better.
Tip 2 wobble the screws and put them in by hand slowly so you dont cross thread them
Tip 3 install thr small wood part first. Font tighten the screws all the way
Put the side wood tops on and align them and tighten down one at a time to make sure no gaps.
Tip 4 the back x brace rods install the screw in the middle to make the x first then when attaching the x to the desk do the top screws first and then only hand tighten. Then bottom
I ended up building both left and right side completely first. Them attaching the joining brackets. If one the wood tops is too high or low you can loosen the desk screws on that side for the frame and push it up or down to get a tiny little play to help.
Overall very very solid. Great value and beats the 150 cheap desk I had before this
Also this tabletop is very strong and the coating is awesome. Feels like solid wood.
