Decent desk, could use a few design modifications.
Update 12/5/19: Updating my review to 5 stars. Jessica at . Ironside saw my review and reached out to ask what had gone wrong with my desk. She replied to my list of complaints with a detailed explanation and a heartfelt apology. She and Vivienne arranged a refund for me, and let me know that they take customer satisfaction extremely seriously. I think that anyone who experienced similar issues would have their complaints solved soon after reaching out to customer service.
This seemed like a great desk from the pictures. The shipping box was pretty flimsy, and multiple components had some damage.
The unit itself is mostly easy to assemble. There is a risk of over tightening the bolts, because the metal just folds in and allows you to keep tightening. Its hard to guess what is tight enough.
I chose to live with the damage and did not contact their customer service about it, due to tight timelines (I put the desk together within two hours of its delivery, including breaks to complain to my husband about the documentation).
It seems sturdy enough, and definitely looks nice. I just dont have the time to put off the reorganizing task to try and get the damaged components replaced.
My advice to the seller would be to get some sturdier shipping boxes, maybe even pack them right over the box that comes from the manufacturer. The box would be fine if I were grabbing it off a shelf, but it was definitely too lightweight for shipping.
