These ottomans are extremely nice. The fabric is strong and tight (if that makes any sense). Theyre really well put together and they look great. The gray has variable tones which adds some depth to the fabric making it look and feel even nicer. Not sure of there is any support under the actual cushion. The top lid with cushion is about 8 inches thick and its hard to tell if there are support beams under the cushion or not. When I sat in the center I felt like it sagged a little; not sure. I dont believe their are any support bars under the top other than the side walls.
