First of all, the drawers come separately than the bed frame, and the drawers arrived a week after the bed frame arrived. I guess due to bad reviews, they removed the hooks from the drawers and included instructions in the drawer box (the drawer instructions were in the booklet for the bed frame). The drawers do not attach to the bed, but still worked well and looked very nice. The slats that go across the frame to hold the mattress seemed to be a bit flimsy, but have held up nicely, although I would not recommend jumping on the bed. This bed does sit a bit lower, despite saying it does not need a box spring. It does not shake once assembled and looks very nice. I am extremely happy with it, especially for the price I paid.
