Out of the box, the upholstery had a strong chemical odor that others have mentioned, so I left it on my porch for a week to off-gas. Two weeks in and it's not really noticeable anymore. I was looking for a padded chair that swivels, doesn't have wheels, and doesn't look like office furniture for my WFH setup, and this does the job. It creaks a bit if I lean from side to side and is already starting to wrinkle/fold around the armrests. I wouldn't recommend it, but it can't be taken apart so I couldn't return it even if I wanted to and it does the job well enough.
