i AM 74 and by taking my time I was able to put this together by myself. instructions are very easy to understand. I would have given 5 stars but although this is a queen size frame my 14 inch pillow top mattress barely fit in the space allowed. It was difficutl to make the bed because it was such a tight fit at the headboad and footboard. Pulling the fitted sheet down betweeen the mattress and bars was difficult. the side rails may need to be just a inch or two longer. a raised edge on those rail would certainly be a plus to keep the mattress from sliding. I laid plywood over the rails to balance the weight along with felt to keep the mattress in place. I really love the look of the bed so I can live with the negatives. If the Mfg comes out with a better design as Suggested I would most likley purchase it.
