Easy, but took some time to assemble. I would prefer top rail to be a little taller for added safety (modern mattresses can be rather thick). Bottom is very close to floor, but that gives extra headroom on both top and bottom. Make kids practice on ladder with supervision. This and other bunkbed ladders must be used properly and carefully.
