True to photo. Easy to assemble, BUT there are A LOT of pieces to assemble. My children (2 and 1) love it! It s like a playground where they can play hide n seek, but the slide is a bit steep. It is a large bed set, so measure and be sure that you have the space. We received one faulty piece (a piece of wood had a hole in it), but because it s more aesthetic and not functional, we are not planning to return.
