We bought this for our TV in the living room. We like the look. however the shelving wont really work too well for DVDs or anything taller than a CD case, unless you remove one shelf fully or adjust a shelf and make it even shorter so you can fit stuff on the one below it which leaves a lot of extra space. In other words, the shelves are either way too short or too far apart. They are nick/nack shelves. You cannot put a game system on it unless you lay it flat.
That being said, it is a nice stand. It is sturdy and we like the look. It is very sturdy. It came with some damage in the laminate and this thing is too heavy and big to even try a return so we glued it.
