Took me about an hour to build by myself, except when attaching the center piece to the head and foot. Had my son help for a couple of minutes for that stage. Instructions are simple, only four pages. It IS a lot of pieces, but since the just slide in, a lot of the pieces go very quickly. Take the time to count and sort the nuts, bolts, and washers, and its super easy. Throw away the little wrench they give you and pull out a small metric socket and ratchet. That will save you some time. Only complaint is that the very last hole doesnt line up, on the canopy frame. Two short poles slide together to make one long one, and a little bolt holds them together. The pole does not slide in far enough to be able to put the bolt in. Left it out, dont see any problems with it. Its screwed in at each end, and would have to flex about two inches to come apart. Sturdy bed for my daughter, and she is super happy.
Not as bad as everyone says
