After I built it in about an hour with a manual screw driver I jumped on my bed for about 5 or 8 minutes and thing held up I'm 6'0 195 so there's that. it is plywood from the looks of it maybe sawdust but it's heavy enough for the size I'd buy another one if I needed to. drawers under the bed lock in place when closed and as usual watch out for the corners once built your shins will thank you later
