I just got this bed today and put it together, it went together easily with one person and it is SOLID. There are a few similar, cheaper, imported bed frames here on that I considered but I was suspicious of the wood construction and didnt mind paying a little more for a real wood kit from the US. Not a single one of the metal frames I saw had slats close enough together to fit the requirements of my mattress warranty. the wooden slats on this frame are just under three inches apart, which is the closest I saw of any of the framed in my price range.
It comes with 15 legs but I bought a set of 12 legs from which makes the bed the perfect height with my 14 mattress. I also bought and attached the optional center legs for under the middle of the bed, but to be honest I now think that was overkill for a full size bed. All the parts were cut precisely, the holes were in the right places, etc. There were a couple of the cut edges that I probably could have taken a file to, but Im lazy so I didnt and theyre fine as they are. It would look very nice stained or sealed in some way, maybe I will do that later. Probably not.
The frame would be a pain to move, but all of the the hardware you would need to undo to break it down are metal bolts in metal fasteners so you wouldnt be dealing with any stripped wood if you unscrewed it all. Im confident the bed would go back together fine as long as you didnt lose any of the parts.
So far, Im only seeing a couple of cons to this choice. As some other reviewers have pointed out, the edges and corners are brutal and I imagine you could bruise your shins pretty easily if youre not careful. There is no lip on the edge of the frame to hold the mattress, so it will slip. Despite reading the reviews, I didnt think I would really need a gripper to keep the mattress in place. I was wrong lol and I will be trying out some different things to remedy that. That would be my one recommendation to . They should include some kind of gripper to prevent slippage OR alter their design to include a little bit of a raised edge as this is almost certainly a universal issue.
I will be recommending this bed frame to friends.
