Several reviews state that the wheels dont work, or that they only stay in with gravity, but thats not true. It took some strength and pressure, but the wheels will click into place if you attach them properly. At first, I was discouraged after reading other reviews and struggling to put the chair together. I considered forfeiting the wheels. But at the last second, a wheel finally popped into place, and then I realized that I had been inserting them at the wrong angle and not enough force. Just snap them into place with force.
After assembling the chair (with a bit of frustration), its been a great chair! Its stylish, the perfect size, comfortable, and fits well with my mid/century mod desk.
