This is a beautiful bed...looks like wrought iron. Directions were fine, and they sent one extra of every bolt/nut, etc...even included tools. Once put together, is very sturdy and doesnt squeak or shake, according to my adult son who spent a couple nights on it already. You dont need box springs, it has plenty of support. Love it so far. Just watch your toes on the middle braces. I would suggest having an extra pair of hands to help put it together, but not necessary. Another suggestion is getting protectors for the bottom of the legs...theyre sharp metal and will cut into your flooring eventually.
