My kid loves this wooden gram and especially since I added drapes and some tassels but I will agree its not ideal that the cram is so much bigger than a twin mattress in the bottom. I have to put the mattress over the edge of the one side so when he rolls off the mattress he doesnt hit the hard wood. On the wall side I have a body pillow and pillows around the rest. It may be best for a child slightly older than a toddler if they are still rolling out of bed. He really loves to play in it before bed.
