On the positive side, I really like the extra elastic on the corners of the fitted sheets. It helps them fit better. I also like that the set had four pillowcases.
On the negative side, I was not pleased with the construction of the pillowcases. I have been sewing for 50 years. I like nice seams inside and out. I always use the color of thread that matches the fabric. Although we have a split king bed, we use standard pillows. For me that is not a problem. Because I sew, I could easily shorten the pillowcases. I was shocked to find 4 colors of thread were used on the seams, one on the straight seam and 3 on the serger seam. The seams were not straight. One corner was gathered when the serger stitching was cut. It appears to me that speed was more important than quality. A quality control inspector should have caught the fact that the corner was not flat. Because I wanted to keep the set, I took out all the stitching and remade the pillowcases. Not everyone can or would go to the trouble.
