The fact that the arms fold back is a great feature of this chair, but thats about where the greatness ends. The biggest shortcoming is that this chair does NOT recline. Only the seat back reclines, leaving the seat itself flat when you lean back and leaving you with the impression that you will slither out onto the floor. This chair is only able to be rated at 500 lbs because it does not recline. The seat cushion on my chair was done after about 12 hours of use. It no longer provides sufficient cushioning and had to be supplemented by another cushion. I am very sorry I bought this chair. Doesnt assemble easily
