Fit well, There is an issue that needs to be noted, but doesnt take away from the overall quality of the product, but should be listened too by the manufacturer. The screws you use to assemble the bed are made of recycled metal, and with the burrs in the threading, it did strip the screws itself when trying to assemble. The burrs are too be expected, but if we didnt have an electric screw driver I would have started crying, but the screws did strip as a result. The good news is the kit comes with a couple extra screws, but very limited. When the time comes and we have to move, I worry about disassembly and reassembly. The plastic bits used to secure the bars in the frame that supports the mattress have the potential to break easily. 1 of ours did, and there was only 1 backup / this kit should have 5 as backup as a sensible measure, as well as 5 extra screws.
In the beginning when you assemble, check the lining of the holes, and be mindful of the center bottom bar! Its not just an issue of aligning the pieces left or right, but top or bottom as well, which gives no clear indication or warning on the instructions as well.
Overall it really is an excellent bed and worth the time and money! I was on a good 45 minutes before finding this, and I genuinely do believe I made the perfect choice, especially since the weight limits are perfect. Its about 5ft 2 in height, and I wouldnt surpass a 6 inch mattress for the top, as the railing that prevents kiddos from rolling out becomes a safety issue.
Please note however the bed, because its made of , is 110 lbs, and the shipping thats free is fedex, And we have serious problems with them in this area. They are ly and the package is heavy! If you are the only adult attempting to assemble, this will take you a good 4 hours, so be prepared. Not practical and super difficult to build if you dont have the extra hands. Seriously, ask someone for help and throw in a pizza.
I genuinely DO recommend the bed, but I also recommend the screws were better quality and a few extra bits to make sure you dont end up in a bad position.
Serious quality bed and worth the purchase, but
