Purchased for my kids ages 8 and 3. I had MAJOR delays in shipping, was actually lost for awhile in a warehouse midway. However, pulled through and got it shipped via another company. The bed itself is solid and well built but you will want a bunkie board or piece of ply for the top. I like the ladder, my 3 year old managed it safely. I wish the top rail were a little taller and sturdier, as my older boy was afraid he was going to roll over it and off at first. However, I put a toddler bed rail on the bottom and you could add one on top as well if youre worried. The bed height is like a loft bed. The bottom bed is basically on the floor. My only dislike is that head clearance on the bottom bunk if very short, so there is a possibility for older children and adults to hit their head getting in and out of bed, or even sitting up too far. I would buy again!
