Ive been wanting to get a bean bag since I had one back in the 70s. They were comfortable especially for reading a book or just plain relaxing. Here we are in the hi-tech age so you have to wonder how much have they improved?
First it came compressed in a box about a quarter the size of the inflated bag. You can see the box size compared to my size 11 shoe. The inner core is compressed in a zippered bag which is meant to be disposed of. The actual suede cover comes in a separate plastic bag.
After you unzip the bag you will see the compressed bag core. Now you roll or kick it around the room for a bit to get it loosened up. It doesnt take long to get it to half its intended size. Then you can slip it into the suede cover and its ready to go, well, then you have to wait a bit and kick some more. They suggest one to two weeks for it to completely loosen up inside and become full size.
Weve had ours for about a week and it is getting pretty fluffy. Our two and a half year old grandson loves it. Im 5 10 and its definitely too small for me but it does feel comfortable.
The description says this is for a child or young adult even suggesting college dorm room. If you look at their photo the lady looks pretty scrunched up even for a young adult. This is more the kids model.
And that brings me to my rating. This one is about $100 but for my size (and Im not a tall guy) it costs $200. Thats quite a jump. And Im not really sure what the memory foam does for you. I know in a bed it conforms to your shape. But as I recall back in the day we always fluffed them up to start over to get that full sized, none shaped form.
Overall, its a decent bag and will be great for our grandsons room.
