The full mattress came compressed in a long box. Its quite heavy. It took two of us to take it to the upper level. It was very well packaged. A cutting knife was included. Still I had to make sure I cut the plastic off carefully without ripping the mattress. Once unpacked, it started to rise immediately and expanded to its full size in few hours. There was no unpleasant smell or whatsoever with this mattress.
The mattress is only es thick but definitely feels its like a 16 inch mattress. Has the right amount of firmness. We have been using this for over month now and have no complaints. Only had good sleep on this mattress. Its a keeper!
We are using this mattress on a metal frame without the box spring. Yet the mattress is so comfortable. Happy with the purchase. Better directions.
