Doesnt feel very sturdy and the ladder is hard to climb up. You have to climb over the bed frame at the top. I would return it if it wasnt so complicated to take apart. Will try to find or make a new ladder for it. Definitely needs to be mounted to the wall. Also one of the bars had a vent piece that my husband had to bend back with pliers and it was difficult.
