It was perfect! Great bed! A pain in the butt to put together! (Its definitely a 2 person job and easy directions to follow.) My teenager loves it. Picture is with an 8 inch mattress and I could easily fit a craft desk under the bed. The ladder is not hard on the feet as I saw in other reviews.
