Very Good for the Price, but Limited Storage Opportunities
I purchased this renewed from / a piece arrived damaged (bent support bar) that I was able to repair myself / but that is not reflective of the product, so I do not count that against the bedframe.
Overall / I am mostly satisfied.
The fabric feels very good / its a nice,even grey. I dont see any tears in the fabric, and the tufting is even and, overall, done well.
The overall build quality of the frame is excellent and does not squeak. When building the bedframe, do not tighten down each screw to max tightness and then move on to the next. Tighten all the screws in stages / so tighten them to 50 as youre assembling, and to 100 after it has been assembled in the final stage.
My biggest complaints are the wooden slats and the limited storage. The slats are clearly very, very cheap wood. There were quite a few splinters and grain tearouts that were catching on my sheets / I was worried that it would eventually cause the corners of the sheets to wear. I tried sanding the wood with 220 grit to smooth out the surface; however, that did not resolve my issue / the sandpaper was just causing more grain tearout. To resolve the issue, I got an old bedsheet and used furniture brads to nail it on to the slats / that way the wooden slats are not pulling directly on my good bedsheets. That seemed to resolve the issue that didnt require me to seal the wood slats or replace them entirely. However, I would prefer if used something like MDF or just slighly nicer wood that was less splintery. If you are expecting to put bins under the bed, forget about it / I have yet to find one that fits. The side fabric boards extend down low. I wish the bed was a few inches higher!
Overall / I would recommend this bedframe for the price / its stylish, the headboard is comfortable, and (so far) it has made zero noise. However, be prepared to DIY a solution to make the slats smoother. This might not be the right bed for you if you need under bed storage / space is very, very limited / if it was an inch or two higher, you could fit slim plastic bins. Looks nice and sturdy.
