A bed solution I didnt know existed until I looked
Just fine. An affordable bed with slats is something I figured you couldnt easily find online, but would have to go in stores to find. I stumbled upon this bed from Wirecutter and am so glad I did. We were upgrading to a king mattress and didnt have a frame and this bed was the perfect solution. It came in a, admittedly heavy yet compact, box with the smaller parts expertly hidden in the headboard. The packaging was superb and not a part was marked or damaged.
The instructions were clear and it even came with a super/useful, why/hasnt/someone/thought/of/this/before, hex/head socket wrench to make the build much quicker and painless. Overall, we threw it together in about 1 hour or less with no issues.
Functionally, it looks great and is a super solid bed, with no squeaks or movement whatsoever. The closely/spaced slats make laying the mattress directly on the frame a great solution and also keeps the mattress from sliding too much.
Overally, an excellent choice if you dont want to spend four/figures on a full/wood bed.
