In the most brilliant move ever by a furniture company, they give you an Allen-key ratchet tool that makes the whole thing bearable (your wrist will thank you for the upgrade from the basic Allen). If you have ever assembled any item from then you are more than equipped to handle this. Im a medium-sized woman and did this by myself in under 45 minutes. The hardest part was getting the long, heavy package up the stairs and unwrapping all the parts. Get someone to help you carry the box, its about 12 feet long and at least 60 lbs. The wood is lovely, solid, and honey-toned. Not cheap, nor flimsy. A great height — I have a hard time getting off low profile beds despite being in my 30s, so this feels like a better real bed height. I spent weeks looking online for a bed that didnt have toxic upholstery, 100 pounds of wood and metal, was under $300, and wouldnt take hours to put together. for the win.
