This safe is build like a BSH and works exactly as advertised
This safe is build like a BSH and it works exactly as advertised. The steel is thicker than on many competing models and the fit and finish are first rate. The instructions and warnings are clear and intelligible and, as some other reviewers have commented, follow-up from the vendor has been prompt and helpful. Two suggestions: 1) Two very heavy mushroom anchors are provided with the safe. But theyre actually of limited use in most applications. They would only work in sheet rock, where they would easily be torn out. A simpler and more reliable anchoring method would be to simply find a stud, drill a couple of corresponsding holes in the safe, and use lag screws instead. 2) Handling any solidly build safe with its door in place usually requires bruit force and at least 2 people. But with the door removed, even fairly large and heavy safes can be moved with relative ease. On this safe, with the door in the fully open position, the door can be safely and easily removed by simply loosening a hex cap screw on the top hinge pin. The screw engages a recessed ring in the pin so that it cannot fall out inadvertantly - a lovely design. I was able to remove the door, install the safe and replace the door myself with little effort - and Im 77 years old. I recommend this safe and its vendor.
