We needed to get a bunk bed for our two sons and this one seemed perfect. It's all made from wood and has that woody smell. I usually don't like things that have strong odors, but this wasn't so bad. It's already been a few weeks since I put it together and I can't smell anything anymore.
Putting it together wasn't that hard and I was able to do it by myself in a few hours. However, I am a fairly handy person. The instructions were really clear so I think that anybody should be able to follow it.
The bed is really sturdy and doesn't wobble and most important, my kids love it.
The only issues I had were with the roof. In order to get the roof panels equally spaced you'll have to figure that out on your own. There are no indicators of where to place each panel and how far apart they should be from each other. That would have been nice.
The other issue I had with the roof panels is the paint. In the box they all came stuck together almost as if they were placed in the box before the paint had fully dried. So when I took them apart the paint would be removed from some of the panels in a patchy pattern as shown in the picture. This affected more than half of the panels, so when placing them onto the bed I just had to make sure they weren't visible. It would have been nice if they were packed with a thin sheet of paper between them. I tried contacting customer service regarding this issue, but I have not heard back from them as of yet.
Overall I'm very happy with the bed and would still recommend it despite the issues I just described. I also wish I would have heard something from customer service even if it was just to acknowledge the issue.
The bed came in two boxes. It took me, with the help of my 6-year old, about 5 hours to put together. I only need my husband to lift the assembled roof section. I didn't use the bed slats for the bottom bunk, but I added those to the top to make it more sturdy. I used a 12-inch mattress on the bottom, 8-inch on the top. The 12-inch is a little thick, but we already had it from a previous bed. Decent quality. Overall great bed for the price.
This was set up at my moms house so that she can either have my twin boys or my brothers kids. All parts included in shipment. Some parts were little scratch and one had a chip part which I will contact seller. The instructions are pretty simple but I do have to say the drawing and some of the parts were not label right but was able to figure it out by putting one and one. I give it a 4 based on those effects and parts scratch and chip but would recommend it!
So first off a few of the boards were slightly damaged one being cracked but it was still functional and you can't tell after it was put together. My husband said it was easy to put together as well.
Second it is huge (but I measured beforehand and knew it was going to take up most of the room)
It's very sturdy and my kids love it. All around it was completely worth the money!
I love it, it take time to assemble. The only things I will love to have the option in natural color, but it was just in twin size, and I need it this one in full size. But white is ok
This is a great value, but perhaps that is why we had to wait almost a month for it. A week after it was supposed to arrive with broken piece . Hope to get a replacement piece, otherwise I won't be able to assemble it.
The pieces look very good though, beautiful color. Heavier than I thought. So if we ever get to put it up I will give another, thorough review.
The super slow delivery, they delivered the second package almost 5 days later and they did not give the second tracking number, I was very frustrated and in messages to the seller he never answered me but the product is magnificent
I was super excited to buy this bed for my two sons, wait wasn't long. I am familiar with building , as i build pretty much everything i order. Now unfortunately as i get down to the last 50 thousand pieces of wood to the 2of2 HUGE boxes . THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS. Just a big bag of nails and things. Nothing. Now i wanted to try to go off the picture. Because I've contacted not only the seller but and nothing yet. Im very disappointed. Not to mention the size of the bed is very misleading .
