As of this reviews writing, I will have had this umbrella (in beige) for three years and, other than fading to a khaki color, this puppy is good as new. We are not the most conscientious homeowners youve ever met, so its been left open through a couple storms and flown into a couple neighbors yards and still looks and works great. It even got peed on by a cat while in the cellar for winter with no lasting damage.
The crank cranks, the tip tips and the shade shades. I havent a single complaint.
This is our familys first patio umbrella (as we are No Cal refugees relocated to SoCal). The umbrella so far seems just great. 3 way tilt, easy up down motion. Yes, the crank does seem a little flimsy, but is fine.
Some reviewers have complained that the umbrella seems flimsy as the center pole is made of aluminum. Yes, aluminum is light weight and the umbrella will start to move in the wind; but again this doesnt seem like a deal breaker or even any problem whatsoever.
Our mistake was not noticing that the base is NOT included. The base is pictured here on .
After you pay another $30-$40 for the base, Im not exactly sure its such a bargin, but perhaps all patio umbrellas come with base not included? However, all umbrella photos do not include the base like this one does, which seems a bit more fair when advertising. We made an assumption.
Anyhow, if you missed the fine print: No base included (despite the picture). Other than that very small surprise, were very happy with our purchase and would feel comfortable recommending it.
This umbrella was purchased to replace the exact same one (purchased 4 years ago and recently damaged in a severe wind storm). Other than some mild to moderate fading this umbrella lasted very well and withstood extreme SC heat and sun. All mechanisms work well, and it is the perfect size over a round high top bistro table. There was no doubt about buying the same one again!
This was perfect for my little patio. I have a couple of club chairs out there, and this is awesome during the summer time. Really straightforward to use. Make sure if you live somewhere that is really windy that you get a heavy base. The lightweight design is nice for SoCal, but maybe not everywhere. Id really like to pair one up with a dining set like this:
Mine is not lighted, and is tan in color, but looks good with all colors, and is easy to assemble into table opening.
A little concern about the length of connection between to long pieces holding umbrella, if it is too windy, may not
stay together. price was terrific, and it works well. helps to have a base to place pole, but we dont and it works
fine.
Purchased on line through , delivery was prompt, no shipping charges.
Have only used this umbrella for a little over a month, but so far the best umbrella that Ive purchased. Have been through many wooden umbrellas with the pull string system, that didnt survive windy conditions or a storm, but this umbrella is awesome! I love the crank system, SO much easier to open than the pulleys. It also fell over on a windy night (table attached) didnt break! I would definitely recommend.

What a buy! It also tilts which we love! Great size and great purchase!
Great look, great price
The umbrella has a nice cloth look. Weve only had it a month or so, but it seems well made, with a smooth wind-up mechanism.
Great value, great quality umbrella!

Good value.
Good umbrella. Beads the rain. Vents the wind. Seems to be fade resistant and is a lighter weight fabric.
