So this is for my 2 youngest kiddos. And tonight one of the wood slats for the bottom bunk snapped in half when my son does not weigh NEARLY ENOUGH to excuse this. I will be contacting them to see about replacement slats but they are obviously not going to hold without breaking so i will also be looking for another solution.
The materials for the bed are very sturdy. I built it surprisingly quick for how big it is. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a quality bunk bed.
I bought this about 9 months ago for my 7 and 9 year old boys. This set is perfect, easy to put together and sturdy. Ive layed on both beds and I weigh 170lbs and never felt like it wasnt going to hold. The ladder detaches which I love for ease of making the top bunk. The color is also great and matches their other espresso furniture perfectly. The only thing i dont like are the three supporter legs down the center of the full sized bed. Whenever i pull the bed away from the wall to make them, those three legs bend and end up all crooked. I just crawl under the bed and straighten them again, but its kind of annoying.
UPDATE: We have now used this daily for about 3 years and its still in fantastic shape! We no longer use the top rail or the ladder. We have used the beds separately, and now they are back together. I have zero complaints about these bunk beds. They are aming and have been great!
Love the quality of the beds, just make sure to inspect it well. A couple pieces were cracked but called the manufacturer and they replaced for free right away with no hassles. Overall we really love it.
We love this bed. We use the top as a reading/cozy corner and our 3yo sleeps on the bottom. He loves the set/up. My only complaint, which others have also mentioned, is that the wood is incredibly soft. You can dent it with a fingernail, or by, say, knocking 2 pieces of wood together as youre assembling (purely hypothetical example ). It also arrived with a few pieces of blue wood splintering. Not very badly, but enough that I needed to glue it back together to avoid splinters further bed damage. But for the price were still very happy.
We received ours yesterday and the packaging was great. Everything was organized well inside of the box and easy to find. Once I got to finishing the bottom bunk I ran into trouble. One of the legs is broken and not able to be put on and I was sent an extra X piece instead of a Y piece so I will need to drill a hole in it myself to get another leg in. I also ran into trouble with one other piece that didnt have holes in it for the peg pieces to go into. Drilled those myself with no problems. Going to homedepot today to try to figure out the broken leg piece. Hopefully I can figure something out so that my husband can lay in the bed without worry of breaking it.

i feel the planks under the mattress could be better, if you buy a cheap thin set, you will feel them all.
but over all good. building it wasnt too bad. the only issue was the planks, some of them split while installing has to do with the design, they wanted more strength, so they used vertical sticks but if you drive screws through it, it tends to split
anyways, it works, just could have done it alittle different in my opinion. but over all good value so far. no insecurity of safety.
Bought this for my 4 year old son In grey. He loves it and we are super happy with it too. I cant believe how nice and sturdy it is for the price. We would recommend this to Anyone! My husband and a friend assembled it it took about 1.5 hours but wasnt bad at all.
Ours arrived damaged. The box was really tore up and you could see exposed pieces that were scratched. I didnt want to deal with sending it back and waiting for a new one so were living with it. The bed itself is a really great piece of furniture. Easy to put together, nice colors, and looks great in my kids room.
