We were looking for an inexpensive table to put in our entry hall, and decided to take a chance on this one. We were very pleasantly surprised! Its wood veneer, but the wood underneath seems to be actual wood, not particle board. It was easy to put together; the only tool required from us was a screwdriver. It feels very solid and looks great. This is a real value for the price.
