but it got done and it very sturdy.

My daughter and I put this together ourselves. It took about 4 hours because we didnt have a heavy duty drill. Had to hand turn. Blisters and sore arms, but it got done and it very sturdy.

    Not to easy to assblem

This bed was a pain in the butt to assemble! Screws would not line up properly. Some of the boards was not labeled. Some of the wood had splits in it and one of the head boards had a chunk of wood broken off!! But the bed frame itself seems sturdy! I plan on adding a slide to it

Many pieces but very sturdy but issing parts.

Wow literally have to put everything together, even wood dowels. Would have received 4 or maybe 5 stars but I was missing one of the steps to the ladder and a side rail to the bed. While constructing the headboards and the ladder, I recommend adding wood glue when inserting the wooden dowels for streingrh and longevity. The good news is the head and foot boards only need to be put together one time.

    good and bad

I purchased the Graphite version of this bunk bed and wanted to share my experiences, good and bad. The negatives: First, Ive never purchased a product that has smelled this bad for so long. Perhaps other colors dont have this problem. I put this together three weeks ago, and my sons room still smells because of the bed. I wish it were warm enough to open the windows. Second, putting this together was no joy. I wouldnt say its complicated, but it takes time (a lot of time, for me with kids helping/distracting, it was the better part of a day), patience, and most definitely two people for various steps of the process. Nearly all the parts go together with an Allen wrench thats included. Thanks to that little guy, my index fingers and thumbs hurt for three days. Third, I purchased 5 memory foam mattresses for both bunks. After spending 10 minutes in the full bed reading with my kids, I could feel the slats through the mattress. For children I doubt its an issue. But as an adult, I could never sleep in this bed in its current condition. You must either purchase a different mattress, or purchase and install a solid base or additional different slats. The positives: The bed is sturdy and well built. I dont have any concerns about my kids sleeping in this bunk bed. They have no issues getting in and out of the bed or with using the ladder. The bed looks great. The graphite is a nice color, and a welcome change if you are tired of furniture that is either white or espresso. For this price, I think the bunk bed is a great value.

It was easy to put together

My daughter loves it! It was easy to put together. BUT I do not recommend doing it alone. Im a single mom and I didnt think I needed any help. I mean, Ive put things together by myself before, so a bunk bed? Easy peasy! Yeaahh, I woke up the next day to sore muscles, back pains, and somewhat sore, swollen fingers from the L wrench that came with it. I had no trouble following the directions but when it was time to assemble the top bunk, that was the real challenge, trying to keep all the top heavy pieces together using my head and shoulders while screwing and tightening every bolt and screw. Took me 4 hours to put it all together. It was worth it, though. My 4 year old daughter slept in it that very night, and I finally had my bed back / not that it matters, I usually pass out on the couch.

    Love.

We have extremely low ceilings in my house. It made buying a bunk bed impossible until I found this. Its perfect! My daughter doesnt even come close to hitting the ceiling and my youngest is super safe on the bottom. The ladder does not have to be attached so I can remove it at anytime. Because it is low, its easy to change sheets, and it is really good quality. I highly recommend.

I liked the bed once put together but there are some

I liked the bed once put together but there are some flaws with it scratches took one picture as shown, one of the boards did not have a hole so I had to go buy a drill bit and do it myself other than that I mostly put it together by myself in 4 hours had to have help attaching the top bunk to bottom
