the problem is you can not see underneath

The image looks good, the problem is you can not see underneath where the child on the lower bunk looks up to see a wooden unfinished frame. the upper bunk has a very cheap frame made of unfinished wood (splinters) and is unsightly for anyone especially children going to bed. I was able to assemble the bed within 1 hour by myself, but unpack the box upon delivery and bring in all the parts as the box weighs a ton. No Mattresses included as described, but you can not use any mattress, you must buy the hard base ones or else the kids will feel those wooden slat boards. I may have to go to Home Depot and purchase piece of wood and fix this bed so its safe and comfortable. I used white duct tape to cover the wood cross bars or else splinters galore.

Excellent product and what a value for the money

First of all, I read a lot of the reviews on this product. I was a little afraid when some people commented about cracked boards. I am an electrical contractor for thirty plus years. I watched two of my electricians put the bed together. It took about three hours. I had NO cracks. Most importantly I am very impressed with the quality and solidness (if thats a word) of this bed. The wood slats for the mattresses are spaced perfectly and in abundance. Excellent product and what a value for the money.

Bed was nice quality, some holes were not drilled properly or put in the exact place which made putting it together kind of tough.

    Great fornthe price

This bed was easy to put together but had some scratches when it arrived. Like others have stated, this material seems to dent/scratch easily. Overall construction seems fairly sturdy. Might not hold up to heavy abuse. The cross members flex quite a bit.

A SOLID WOOD piece of furniture! / Extremely unusual for a DIY, RTA piece of furniture.

A SOLID WOOD piece of furniture! / Extremely unusual for a DIY, RTA piece of furniture. The railings, headboard, and footboard are plywood, and the slats are solid pine. The quality is impressive for the price. All of the pieces and parts were present and aligned perfectly. The assembly instructions are adequate. You should probably use a separate piece of thin plywood, luan, or very heavy cardboard ( the beds packaging material) over the slats to avoid damaging the mattresses. Probably mandatory with foam mattresses. Helpful hints: You will need a power drill/driver (ideally with an adjustable torque clutch) and another set of hands. Be sure not to over tighten the wood screws, although the bolts and nuts require a bit more torque. Carefully orient the headboards and footboards during assembly so that the upper and lower bunks align and adjoin. Dry/fit the headboards and footboards flat on the floor before tightening fasteners. Overall, I was very surprised by the high quality of this RTA bunk bed.

I purchased a foam mattress as others had mentioned, but product states not to use foam. Product should state such in description.

This bunk bed turned out to be really nice. The directions were slightly confusing though. Took about 4 hours for me and bf to do because we had to take it apart a few times. smh. Had one scratch in the wood but nevertheless my kids love it.

    Good quality and easy assembly

Very good option. I was surprised that its made of solid wood. Assembly process took me three hours and Id say that instructions are very clear. I received one piece scratched but its not a big deal, if I had to replace it, I just have to call the manufacturer and they send me a new piece again. You can use a 6 or 8 inches mattress.

    Very solid, really good/looking bed!

This bed is aming! I got it blue for my sons room. First of all, I got it on sale for roughly 220 here on . My husband put it together using power tools in a couple of hours – he is pretty handy. We all love it! I will say that we have 10/12 inch mattresses on both the upper and lower bunks and theyre a little too thick, in that theres just that much less room between the bottom and the top bunk and the top bunk and the ceiling. I wish I had gotten 8 inch mattresses. Ill post an update in a month or two on the quality of the bed.
