Overall, we love the bed, but here's what you need to know if you're thinking about getting this one or a similar bed:
The 3rd time our threeyearold slept on the top bunk, she fell off through the gap in the railing where the ladder attaches. She didn't get hurt because the top bunk is still fairly low and we have carpet, but we decided it was unsafe for her to be on top for now.
There are not enough bed slats, so we took both sets of slats and used them on the upper bunk. That was the only way to not have the mattress sink through the gap between the slats.
The bottom mattress now rests directly on the ground without any slats. And this works fine.
The slide was designed a bit too steep. We put a kiddie chair under the end of the slide, and now it's safer.
So there are definitely modifications that we needed to make, but I would still give it 4.5/5 ? because it's sturdy and works great. We use the upper bunk for storing all her stuffies, and she still loves going down the slide.

Definitely not an “easy assembly but, not super difficult either. Just be ready to set down and work on this for an hour or so. Maybe longer if you do not PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS ON ASSEMBLY.. Dont ask how I learned this.
I don't know what mattress they used for their product photo, but our Costco twin mattress has dwarfed the rails. We put a standard twin mattress with a pillow topper on the top bunk and this put the sleeping plane at just a bit higher than the bed rails. This is an accident waiting to happen when someone will roll off that bunk onto the floor. This will be returned.
Gave it low ratings on ease of assembly due to fact that multiple screws were bent or otherwise inadequate and we had to supply our own.
The bed is exactly like pictured, purchased it for our 5 year old, he couldnt wait to climb up once assembled. I love that its not as high as a regular bunk bed so its great for the little guys.
It took about 1 hour to assemble, found it very easy to do, just lots of pieces to put together. Very sturdy once everything was screwed together. Very well designed, all the holes lined up perfectly for assembly.
Natural is a light maple color, no honey tone at all, just as pictured. Nice clean modern look.
One thing to note is that this is made up of soft wood, like white pine, so it will scratch easily. Overall my son and I both love the purchase and are very happy with the bunk bed.
My kids loved this bunk bed with the slide. The assembly took 5 hours; not that it is complex, but the first two steps took much time, as placing the 7 planks onto the wooden bar was not so easy. Finally, the material is not so sturdy. I noticed a crack while installing the white chips on the final steps.
This took me about an hour to put together with help. Directions certainly could be clearer. Also, if you try to do this without a power drill best of luck but it will take forever. I found I had to loosen a large number of bolts and retighten them, so a drill saved the day. The section that shows one bolt being tightened to 100% and the other to 80% is a lie. Tighten them both to 70% and come back later to tighten them to 100% or it won't go together. Still -- a very nice bed and glad we got it.

Life changing for my daughter, she now thinks her bed is the best bed in town.

Like everyone else said - great bed, annoying to assemble.
