    Great Bed for Value

This bed has been very durable and has withstood the test of hyperactive kids. The only thing I would change is that the bars on the ladder have such a small roundness to them they hurt your feet when climbing it. I went and got some plumbing insulation to cover them and provide cushion. So far no more complaints about hurting feet! Stylish yet affordable

Not user friendly but good product

All about fast shippintg, required assembly time and relatively good quality is true. I had one quality issue when a hole for a bolt was partially welded over but nothing that could not be fixed with the right tool. Be aware that the original ladders are unusable. Your kid will not want to use them because the stick will hurt his/ her feet. It is also very difficult to get from the ladder on the bed and then to get down. I am in the process of adapting an aluminum industrial ladder for easier access. Gorgeous and Good Quality

    bed

The bed shipped quickly. The hardest part was there was a leg missing and no directions included. Once it was together, my daughter loved it though. Nice sturdy construction. Debating if we are going to keep it or return it.

    Ready for sleeping

I love this bunk bed set. We purchased this style (twin size bed over full size bed) to allow us the most flexibility for one of our guest bedrooms which is on the small side. My grand children can sleep in it when they come to visit, yet a couple could easily sleep in the bottom bunk together if necessary. The bed was a bit labor intensive to put together, however it is well worth your time when you see how sturdy the frame is when fully assembled in the correct manner. This bunk bed set is very sturdy when compared to many of the bunk bed sets we looked at on the market. It took my husband about 2 to 3 hours to have it fully set up. We are both very pleased with the quality of this product. Very good value for high quality.

    Plenty of head room

This will be the second of these beds that Ive purchased. Its great for kids. No sharp corners, it wasnt too bad to assemble and its very solid. But the best thing about it (to me) is that I can sit on the bottom bunk and not hit my head (Im 63); great for sitting down and reading bed/time stories. The second one is a replacement for a wooden bunk/bed I purchased for 600 at Ashley furniture. Im giving the old bed (which is about a year old) away to a friend of my wife and Im glad to be rid of it. The kids were constantly hitting their heads, arms and legs on the corners (lots of bruises). IT is EXACTLY like pictured. Beautiful

    Great once assembled

A good value. Assembly however is time consuming and the design somewhat complex; definitely not your easy/to/put/together IKEA bed. Those plastic pieces that other reviews complain about are murder to put in and I had to trim about 25 of them to get them to fit. That said, I am very pleased with the finished product. Highly recommended for skilled handypersons that can improvise when the need arises. Four stars for the assembly process. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

    Great for even more Money!

This bunkbed that I have been researching for a couple of months before purchase had to satisfy Five major requirements (1) Cost, (2) Durability, (3) ease of installation, (4) be light and less bulk and (5) ease of portability (taking it apart and rebuilding). This is for my daughters bedroom and with the small size of the space (approx. 12 x 11) I did not want a monstrosity of a bunkbed unit that appears to occupy the entire room. This product is light in appearance and makes a cramped space look spacious. (1) COST, this product is a great bargain compared with the faux wood composite products trying to imitate solid constructed wood furniture. I paid 248 for this piece and would have paid more since other wood bunkbeds ranged from 450 to over 1,000. (2) DURABILITY, this bed can sustain 250 to 300 pounds and with steel construction I do not have to worry about the screws stripping and warping the wood weakening the strucutral integrity of the bed whenthe kids are playing by climbing, swinging and rocking from it. (3) EASE OF INSTALLATION, the instructions was clear and the only minor hiccup was the 80+ stiles secure attachment clips that was not expressed in the instructions. I put the entire bed together alone in 4 hours and the stile attachment clips were easily attached after the fact. Another installation tip, make sure the holes are line up to receive items correctly or you will be unscrewing items often in your haste to complete the bed. (4) LIGHTNESS/WEIGHTLESSNESS, the bed is ideal for smaller roomS because if allows air, wind and sunlight to infiltrate the room making an compact room spacious. (5) EASE OF PORTABILITY, I am confident due to the steel construction that I can take it apart if I had to move it into another room or another home withOUT compromising the structure of the bunkbed. Final tip is be aware of having ceiling fans in the room with kids on the top bunk, especially with low ceilings (9/10). This is a great product and we will be making another purchase next year for our boys room. This is a cant miss! Hope this helps Met my needs perfectly!

    This is an excellent bed!!

If youre struggling with both space and quality, this is the item for you. I was not in a position to spend a 1000 on a bunk bed, and the bunk bed I bought before this one broke repeatedly. So, I really wanted a sturdy bed for my kids. The clearance between the bottom and the top is spacious, and therefore really opens up the room. It looks really good. It takes some back work to put this thing together, but once in a rhythm, you hardly notice it. At first the little plastic pieces that keep the bars that support the mattress in place were really frustrating, but once I got a few down in practice, no problem. I wish that the ladder was a little more accessible than it is considering the rails are so high on the top, but that is my only complaint. This bed does not make a sound and is as sturdy as a rock. I looked long and hard for a decent bunk bed, and I am very, very pleased. What you see is what you get in the finished product. This is a good, pleasing buy! Worth every dime

    outstanding product

This is an outstanding product, worth the medium price for the engineering. I ordered this based on a similar product I purchased in 1995, and the improvements in design are extraordinary. It went together much more easily, and has significantly better structure, including mattress support and headroom. (The packaging alone is a work of art.) Not cheap, but neither is it too expensive for what you get. It will definitely last. Best purchase ever!

No thrill but sturdy, highly recommended.

Pros: Practical, no waste of space. Solid and well built. Limited squeaky noise when person on top bunk moves around. Top bunk can fit an 10 thick mattress (we used a memory foam) with enough rail room (4 height) to not worry about rollout. No bunky board needed (but I recommend it if you are using memory foam mattresses). We used half inch plywood and wrapped it up with saran wrap. It cost about 20 each (cut at our local Lowes) and provides a complete support, dont pay those over priced bunky boards. Top bunk appears to be able to support at least 200 pounds with no problem. Cons: The rods on the ladder is really hard on the feet, although my kids said they were fine with them, I wrapped them up in half inch foam padding and that helps. The ladder runs straight up, not a slanted one like some others. This will cause you to put up more effort in climbing. There is no entry point for the top bunk, you have to climb over the rails to get in. I dont quite understand the reason for this, most other bunk beds provide an entry point. This may not be a problem for kids, (mine were a little afraid at first, but adapt to it quite quickly) but maybe an issue with adults. Other considerations: No styling, but personally, I like it simple. I have an 11 memory foam on the bottom. While sitting down, there is about a 2 head clearance (Im 54 tall). Since a persons height are not all in the upper torso, I think a 57 person sitting on the bottom should be fine. If you only use a 10 mattress, that is another inch. I am no handy man, but I didnt find this bed to be too difficult to put up. It is time consuming, it took a little over 3 hours and I did have my brother helped me hold up a few things at times. Comparing this to another bunk bed we bought, assembly was a breeze. We got the white one at 199 back in August because it was 50 cheaper than the black one. This is the other bunk bed we bought, prior to this one, that I would NOT recommend: Conclusion: I removed one star because of the no entry for upper bunk and the vertical ladder. My kids love this bed, but not as much as the other bunk bed, but that maybe because of styling. It is simple, sturdy, space saving, and cheap. 4 qualities that I liked. For 199 (at the time of purchase), I think this is a steal. I highly recommend this. I really love how it look like
