I nurse my baby in this chair and we do family story time in it. I use a cross cradle hold, and the arm is at the right height to rest my elbow while Im nursing the baby. The rocking is awkward and like others have said, it pushes back when you get up. My baby doesnt like to be held and rocked, so I dont mind it. All three of us can fit when we read him a story before bed. Im 52 and 140lb (size 6), my husband is 511 and 195lb and usually wears a mens large/ the baby is 5 months and sits on his lap. Its a cozy fit but comfortable enough.
My husband says it wasnt hard to put together and there were no overly heavy components. He did it himself.
Overall for the price, I think its a really good buy, and Ill think well get years of use out of it because well probably use it for story time for a while. So far meets my expectations
Overall its not a bad chair. Its a little cheap feeling and not as hefty as Id like but Id say its very attractive and reasonably simple to put together. It will serve its purpose anyway but its not an heirloom piece.
We had some issue with the back piece being seated correctly but after a few tries it went.
I will say the smell of this chair is quite strong. I think the seller needs to make extra sure this chair is compliant, especially the legs. Being around it made my skin itch.
The rocking action is not very good but you can rock a bit. An ottoman would go well with this.
I am 57 and 320 pounds. This was enough for me to sit, it would definitely fit two average size people but it is a little shallow. Perfect for someone small and definitely for kids. It is lightweight so it will slide very easily.
Edit: Day 3 and this chair is still really smelly. Id suggest airing it out for two weeks before putting it into babys room. Lovely for the price
I like this chair because I have twins, so the extra width allows them to both sit in it during storytime. It also is big enough/has a weight limit high enough for an adult to sit with them.
However, the seat does feel a bit shallow in width from back to front. That makes it feel a bit like I am sliding off the end sometimes. I also wish the bottom of the rocker feet had something to keep the chair from sliding so easily. highly disappointed!!!
Perfect rocking chair, especially for multiple kiddos. Firm seat, easy assembly. Everyone likes it and wants to sit in it. This product was exactly what I was hoping for
Update: This seat has served us well the past 18 months but the armrests werent well/padded and we are beginning to feel the structure of the chair beneath the fabric.
We wanted a two/seater chair in our toddlers room but the configuration of the room wouldnt allow for a large chair to fit through the doorway. We chose this rocker because it arrived in two boxes that were easy to carry upstairs and into the room. The color is true to the photo a light neutral grey. The chair assembled easily. Find the hardware needed inside the bottom cushion we might never have found it had we not read other reviews. The manufacturer should really leave a slip of paper in the box that lets people know this!
The seat feels sturdy once assembled and it has worn well the past few months. Seats two adults shoulder/to/shoulder and is perfect for reading with my kiddo once he outgrew sitting in my lap in our previous chair. Really Happy!!
