This is a very nice daybed. It is very comfortable. A 6 matress fits perfect on the bottom trundle, and we have a 10 on the top. With the trundle away you cant even tell it is there. Works great in my sons room. He has a second bed for sleepovers, and doesnt have to have bunk beds
You never know what kind of furniture youre going to get when buying it online and having to assemble it yourself. This was a bit of a risk, but overall were quite pleased with how it came out.
It ships in one large box. Its a single piece inside, so unfortunately youll need some help getting it inside unless you plan to take it all apart outside. All pieces are zipped into the backside of the couch, which is engineered well. So well, in fact, that I thought I was missing the legs. As it turns out, they were hidden inside the compartment.
Instructions are easy to follow and the whole assembly took me about an hour. Once assembled, its nice to look at. It does not look like a typical futon, but more like an actual couch. Its memory foam so its a bit stiff to sit/sleep on, but its nicer than the futons of yesteryear.
It folds down to turn into a bed, rather than slide down like old futons. It has little legs that fold out to support the bed, and tuck away when not needed. Its a rather clever design, allowing this to look like an actual couch instead of college furniture.
Overall its a classy looking piece that is rather affordable for what youre getting. We put this in our guest bedroom and have had compliments on the comfort.
I ordered this wanting an affordable, comfy but stylish couch that could double as a bed for extra guests or for when I want to get cozy in the living room. It is a nice soft velvety material and I actually really like the color (I ordered the blue). I would describe the actual color as a deep aqua. I put it together by myself in under 30 minutes! The legs are nice and study and the 2 back sections of the couch recline to a 45° angle and then all the way down. When you put it all the way down to use as a bed you can unzip the back of each side to find a fold out leg for extra support.
This is a great couch for the money, my only issue with it is that its not very squishy or comfortable to sit on if youre looking for that deep comfy couch that you can melt into. I would not call it memory foam as the description does because its that firm bouncy type of foam that doesnt mold around your body like real memory foam does. From the look of it its pretty obvious that its not going to be the most comfortable couch but its not bad. It is definitely not memory foam though. I might eventually get a big comfy sectional and put this sofa in the office as a 3rd guest bed.
Overall, a great buy, could be less firm but other than that I love it!
First this is the second futon we have put in our kids media room, this first one we kind of cheaped out on and the legs were wobbly and the cushions overly thin and uncomfortable. This futon is the exact opposite. Very solid construction, even with my wife, 2 kids and me on it, it feels completely sturdy. The cushions are amazing, they are quite firm, but have enough give that you kind of melt into it. This is a quality futon that anyone would be lucky to have in any room of their home.
I love the style of this futon. It has a midcentury modern look to it. We have it set up in the office/guest room. I thought it would give us an extra bed for guests. Once we set it up though, it was not as comfortable as Id hoped, despite the memory foam label. Its much too rigid. It might work in a pinch but you wouldnt want to sleep on it for very long. That said, it does look great and fit our style perfectly. The cushions are not very thick but comfortable enough.
This comes in a single box. Youll need another person to help move it and even then it can be awkward because of the shape and size. The shipping configuration is pretty interesting though. You unfold the whole thing and then unzip the cover on the bottom and inside youll find the hardware and armrests. I put the thing together myself and I was just putting around while talking to a buddy on speakerphone and I got it done in well under an hour.
The back folds down in two sections and a zipper on the back reveals a leg on each section that folds out. Since everything is part of the whole seat you dont need to worry about the cushion moving around. I have another futon that the cushion just sits on a metal frame and it slides around sometimes. When folded down with the legs out everything is pretty sturdy and seems big enough to get a good nights rest. I wouldnt want to be sleeping on it all the time but for the occasional night, it seems like it will be good.
The cushions are firm and dont have much give when sitting on it. It is still comfortable for sitting on a few hours at a time. I do wish the armrests were thicker so you had more of a surface to actually rest your arm on.
Overall this seems like a good futon but time will tell. Ill come back and update if I have any problems.
Love it! Easy to put together! Love the vintage look, comfortable, and looks and feels expensive. Weve used it already for our guests to use as a bed and they loved it! And we have a 2 yr old. And seems really sturdy and tough! This will last for a long time.

Great couch, comfy, beautiful color. The sides and legs sometimes need tightening though. Top of the line for the price.
Its worth it!
Love the gray velvet
