I had two beds delivered. My sister is very handy and helped me put beds together. So far we built one. It took us about 3 hours to build. The instructions are awful. We built something and then had to take it apart. When building the top railing, the instructions never mention that the 4 dots are to be facing the inside of bed. This is because at the end, you have to screw in a bracket. When we built it, it was frustrating so we kept it how we built it. Dots are small and not very noticeable.
There was was chipping.
Once bed was completed, it is sturdier than what I expected. I had little confidence when I received it. Now, I feel better because it is much sturdier.
For the money it’s hard to beat. Costs were clearly cut on the instructions. Despite warnings that I saw from other reviewers, I still messed up with initial alignment of the opening for the ladder. I was able to double back and fix my error. It was a pain to build but the result is fairly sturdy. Definitely a 2 person job. I’ve assembled several pieces from ikea that recommend 2 people, all by my lonesome, without issue. I needed to call for reinforcements on this one within the first hour (of a 2.5 hour assembly). One other thing to note... slats for the beds to rest on are sturdy but thin so a memory foam (squishy) mattress will not work with these. Mattress needs some structure. Like ikea it’s gonna get weaker each time you disassemble/reassemble. That said this is just getting us through the bunk bed experimentation phase and didn’t break the bank.
Im very happy with this bed and my kids are over the moon. My ilder chuld wanted the lower bunk so we added 3 inch blocks under the top bunk with 5 inch screws. Then I matched the color in a semi gloss paint from home depot. Now I even fit under the bed with 6 inch mattress. The company didnt sell touch up paint but the one we chose looks great.
Great bed for the money. It was pretty easy to assemble, I am a single mom of a 7 year old and it took me 3.5 hours to assemble by myself. It seems pretty study and my daughter loves it!
We like the purchase of the bed. When delivered one box had broken open and thankfully all the pieces were still there. While putting the bed together the bolts put a whole in one side of the bed, and we accidentally went a tad to far in screwing the screws on one side and it cracked the wood all the way through. Other the. That the wood seems to be good quality. Easy to build!

Better than I ever would think for the price.

The boards are not too strong. We’ve already had to replace the middle support board for my 100lb daughter.
The ONE
