The most comfortable uncomfortable chair Ive ever bought. It looks aming, very time period correct. Not that Im an expert. This is not an heirloom piece, its manufactured like most things nowadays, without lasting quality. The seat cushion and back cushion are part of the structure, there is no replacing the cushion 5 years from now if it sags. Despite that, I love the chair (at the price I paid). Clever design and assembly, puts designers to task. The cushion is hard as a rock, but as soon as I sit down, its very comfortable. This is an accent chair for me, so it just something to collect dust and look pretty, which it does.
While I do like the overall look, sturdiness and comfort, I think the manufacturer doesnt uphold strong production standards or review before they ship. First of all, the instructions came printed out of order, and I mean front and back double sided pages were not collated correctly. for both chairs I bought. The assembly descriptions were not great either, there were some pieces not addressed or pictures that didnt mean anything to the actual product from what I can tell. Secondly, the wood only had lacquer on the sides that are visible; in which, might not be a huge deal normally but if you have your hands on the arm rest, what will naturally happen? Your fingers will curl around the armrest and touch the underside, and here it turns out to be rough and uned. Not a great feeling. Also, there are spots on the visible surfaces where the lacquer wasnt applied well or didnt dry quite right and it is also rough in these spots. Thirdly, the wooden pegs that are used to cover up where the screws are used either dont quite fit or fall out easily. Lastly, the wooden dowels that are used to hold the front bottom cross beam to the legs of the chair are way too small for the holes so they dont offer much security.
Overall, if I was using this for a spare room in my house I wouldnt mind, but I got these for my business and I am not sure if I will keep them at this point.
Beautiful piece, assembly was a breeze, just have to screw in the legs and attach the back, almost panicked because I dint see the legs anywhere but I noticed the little note that said they were hidden in there and found them under it. Even the cat likes it. Comfortable, the back is a little firm but nothing little cushion or two cant fix.
I bought this chair over three years ago and its moved with me twice since then. Its sturdy, has held up exceptionally well, and gets more comfy over time. I didnt use it a lot at first because it was a little stiff, but as Ive used it more it has broken in nicely; more comfy but still study. I came back to buy another and had to leave a review. You wont regret getting this chair if youre going for a midcentury vibe. For the price you cannot go wrong; so much midcentury stuff is so expensive
VERY pleased with this chair. It took us longer to unpack it than it did to assemble it5 minutes, tops. We got the brown, and its a very rich/looking piece of furniture at an affordable price. Its extremely comfortable, sturdy, very attractive and exactly what I need for my upcoming surgery because I cannot sleep in our bed for a few weeks. It is a little stiff at first when trying to recline, but it has loosened up some so its much easier now. I needed one without a lever to operate because theyre always on the right side, and thats the arm Im having surgery on. I will be in a sling making it impossible to operate a lever. The design is perfect, and wraps right around you instead of the overstuffed backs that push you forward and up. I highly recommend this chair!!!
Ive had this about a month now. This chair was easily put together by my husband soon after we received it. The color is beautiful /more of a grape/plum (great actually since I splashed a bit of Merlot on the arm one day and it took me a couple minutes to actually locate where it was wet so I could wipe it quickly, I never saw the wine color!) The fabric seems very sturdy and is not thin or fragile. Im 58 and sit comfortably in the chair, its a very good seat height and has a reasonable footprint and not huge in an overstuffed fashion) Cushion is firm but not uncomfortably so. Manual recline is a little stiff but I expect that will ease with use. I think this was a good value and expect well get quite a lot of use of it over the next few years.
Nobody told me that chairs are so dang expensive!! But to my surprise, this chair has been the talk of our livingroom since weve gotten it. Its super cute, easy to put together, and all around a great look!

Good but could easily be better

Good value for a pretty little chair for reading!

Looks good but
Very formal and comfy. Very hard to assemble and material is easy to scratch and damage. For the price, it could be a lil better quality.
