These are very sturdy and very comfortable. I took off one start as there are two screws that hold the front of the seat to the front crossbar through holes in that crossbar but there didnt seem to be holes in the underside of the seat to screw them into so I drilled holes. Otherwise assembly was easy and I love the chairs. The fabric is high quality, too. Its a nice dry gray without any bluish tint. These new chairs made my couch look shabby by comparison so now Im replacing that with a mid/century design from Ashley Home that goes well with it.
Refer to picture for advice on using the instructions provided. Read what other comments say. Keep everything loose. Also be wary that where the wooden front bar thingy goes I tried to feel around for holes where the screws attach to the underside of the seat but didnt feel any, so after crying and calling my dad (college girl hay) I used a drill bit (7/64 I believe?) to get two screw holes started and was able to manually screwdrive those puppies in. Otherwise just drilling the screw straight in my power drill wasnt long enough. Awful awful instructions. Also one leg is shorter than the others and Ive heard that before. Also sitting on it its not that cushy but I may try to finagle a way to get some memory foam inside because diy is life. So grab a beer and take deep brea Th s cause you get what you pay for and I know yall are only buying this for the looks, like me. I got lucky and bought it half the price of someone who bought it from and sold elsewhere, shouldve asked if it was the one shorter leg or the awful instructions that made them throw in the towel. At the very very least stuff that is real wood I like more than , because I feel like its sturdier and if not I can add reinforcement at a very small cost. Why four stars? Because that mid century modern life, Im livin it now
This chair was much better than we expected. It is a lovely design / hip mid century modern aesthetic at a fraction of the cost of an antique. It is also surprisingly comfortable and feels quite sturdy.

Great looking!
These chairs look great in our office lobby. Theyll take some breaking in for comfort to improve, but were not too worried about it.
Good for the mid century looks but be aware
